Food & Drink

Due to safety reasons and discolouration damage we cannot have any glass or red wine on board.

NOTE: Any costs incurred once you’ve left the boat and are ashore are entirely at your own expense and are not included in anyway in the cost of the trip.

On our 4 hour boat trips from Torre del Mar-Nerja-Maro, COSTABOATTRIPS provides fresh sandwiches on-board along with a selection of complimentary drinks including Beer, Coke, Cava, etc and of course there’s fresh drinking water onboard. Please check on selected shorter trips where we don’t supply food there are options to bring your own sandwiches.

General

Yes, COSTABOATTRIPS most definitely cater to children but of course they must be accompanied by an adult and we strongly recommend that they have T-shirts or some such clothing to protect their skin from the sun. The boat does of course have an excellent sun canopy.

There is not much risk of this here in southern Spain for most of the year. If necessary we can reschedule your trip or give you a refund. However, in the unlikely event of bad weather we will contact you to advise you of the situation and ask what you would like to do.

Yes, COSTABOATTRIPS can stop at a variety of locations along the coast where you can swim as you wish, try snorkelling or try-diving, or just go ashore for something to eat and drink.

At Costaboattrips we always endeavour to look for Dolphins but they’re not always out and about. When we do come across them we can follow and observe them if you wish, but their presence is not guaranteed.

COSTABOATTRIPS are based at the La Caleta Vélez marina located in the province of Malaga, some 35 minutes’ drive from Malaga on the shore of the Mediterranean. Follow Highway A-7 out from Malaga, (direction Motril-Almeria) taking the Caleta de Vélez, exit 274. The port of La Caleta marina is then 3-4 minutes’ drive down the 274 exit towards the sea.

COSTABOATTRIPS are happy to accommodate handicapped people but we just need to be advised in advance so as we can plan for the space we may need.

COSTABOATTRIPS recommends the use of good anti-seasickness medicines obtainable from any local Pharmacy and taken prior to your boat trip. We can suggest, Bonine, Benadryl, Biodramina which are very effective. Or ask in your local Pharmacy.

Then of course there is always SEA BANDS for your wrist which are also effective in alleviating the discomfort of sea- sickness. Usually we don’t go so far out that seasickness becomes a problem and if necessary we can idle along the shoreline near the beach which is usually much calmer.

Preparation

Swimwear, soft shoes or flip flops, towels, loads of sun cream, sunglasses, hats, cameras and perhaps a change of clothes. A good selection of snorkelling fins and masks are freely available for use.
